1. Overview

RemoveSpamTraps.net (the "Service") is operated by Founder Bits Inc. (DBA BigMailer) ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

The Service allows visitors to upload email lists, identify addresses that are likely to be spam traps, and optionally purchase detailed verification results.

RemoveSpamTraps.net does not require account registration. We may request an email address to deliver results and occasionally invite feedback, ratings, or reviews of the Service. However, certain information may be processed through uploaded files, payment transactions, website analytics, and security services, as described below.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, how we use it, and how it is protected.

2. Information We Process

Uploaded Files. When you submit a file for verification, we process the email addresses and other information contained in that file on your behalf, solely to perform the requested analysis and generate results. Email addresses in uploaded files may be personal data under applicable law. We do not use uploaded email addresses for marketing, send messages to those addresses, sell uploaded lists, or use them to build proprietary contact databases.

Session Information. We use your browser's local storage to maintain session information, including session identifiers, session timestamps, and references to verification results. This allows you to return to your results and purchase them within 90 days of the initial upload without creating an account. Clearing local storage or switching browsers or devices may prevent you from retrieving results.

Optional Customer Email Address. If you provide an email address, we may use it to deliver verification results and occasionally invite you to rate or review the Service or provide feedback about your experience. We do not use this address for promotional marketing campaigns. Feedback and review invitation emails include an unsubscribe link that you can click to opt out of further feedback and review requests. Opting out does not prevent necessary messages about results you have requested.

Payment Information. Payments are collected and processed directly by Stripe, a third-party payment provider. We do not directly collect or store complete payment card numbers. We may receive limited transaction information from Stripe, such as payment status and transaction identifiers, as needed for purchase confirmation, customer support, accounting, and fraud prevention.

Website Usage Information. We and our service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, pages visited, referral sources, and website interactions for security, analytics, and marketing measurement.

Support Communications. If you choose to contact us, we may process your email address and the information you provide to respond to your inquiry. An email address is not required to upload a file.

3. How We Use Information

We process uploaded email-list data on behalf of the customer for the requested spam-trap analysis. The customer generally determines the purposes and lawful basis for processing that uploaded data.

Separately, we process limited session, transaction, website usage, and support information as needed to:

• Maintain sessions, provide access to results, and deliver requested results by email when an address is provided.
• Occasionally request feedback, ratings, or reviews from customers who provide an email address, subject to applicable law and unsubscribe preferences.
• Confirm purchases and provide customer support.
• Protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and automated attacks.
• Understand website usage and improve the Service.
• Measure marketing conversions and referral activity.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

Where applicable, our legal grounds for processing this information may include performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, pursuing legitimate business interests, or obtaining consent when required.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Uploaded files and generated verification results are stored using Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States.

Uploaded files and verification results are automatically deleted 90 days after the initial upload.

Session information stored in your browser may remain until it expires or you clear it through your browser settings. The underlying results will no longer be available after the 90-day retention period.

Customer email addresses provided for results delivery and feedback invitations may be retained as reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to applicable law and unsubscribe preferences. An unsubscribe preference may be retained to honor future opt-out requests.

Payment transaction records may be retained for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance purposes. Security logs, analytics information, and support communications may be retained for periods reasonably necessary for their respective purposes or as required by law.

5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Tracking

The Service uses browser local storage to maintain session information and allow visitors to return to previously generated results.

We also use or may use cookies and similar technologies for website security, analytics, and marketing measurement:

• Essential storage and cookies: Necessary for session management, payment processing, and website security.
• Analytics: Google Analytics helps us understand website traffic and usage.
• Marketing and referral tracking: We may use tracking pixels or similar technologies to measure advertising conversions and referral activity.
• Security: Cloudflare helps protect the website against bots, malicious traffic, and other security threats.

Where required by applicable law, non-essential analytics and marketing technologies will be activated only after appropriate consent is obtained. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, the website's cookie preference controls. Disabling essential storage may affect your ability to access results.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following providers to operate and support the Service. Not all providers process uploaded email-list contents.

These providers may process information under their respective agreements, privacy policies, and applicable data protection obligations. Additional advertising or referral tracking providers may be used in the future, with disclosures and consent where required by law.

We do not sell uploaded email lists or share their contents for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share customer email addresses with third parties for their own marketing or other independent purposes. Service providers may process customer email addresses on our behalf only as needed to operate the Service, deliver results, or send permitted communications. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or integrity of the Service.

7. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

Uploaded files are accessible only to systems and authorized personnel as necessary to provide the Service, troubleshoot problems, or provide support.

Although we take reasonable precautions, no internet-based service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or request data portability. You may also have rights to opt out of certain advertising-related processing or lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority.

To exercise applicable rights relating to information we process about you, contact privacy@removespamtraps.net. Because the Service does not require accounts or an email address for uploads, we may be unable to identify or locate an anonymous upload session without sufficient session details. We also may not be able to contact uploaders proactively.

If your information appears in an email list uploaded by a customer, that customer generally acts as the data controller. We recommend contacting the customer directly about requests relating to the uploaded data, and we will reasonably assist customers with applicable privacy requests where possible.

You can opt out of further feedback, rating, or review invitations by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email you receive from us. This will not prevent delivery of results or other necessary service communications you request.

We may request additional information to verify and process a request.

9. International Data Processing

The Service is operated from the United States, and uploaded files and results are stored using US-based infrastructure. Some service providers may process information in other countries.

Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the Service.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or service providers. Updated versions will be posted on this website with a revised effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
